Digital Humanities

The IZMF offers researchers in digital humanities a platform for the exchange of interests and experiences, for cooperation in interdisciplinary research initiatives and support in third-party acquisitions.

The Digital Humanities focus is based on the integration of the Institute for Realestate studies of the Middle Ages and the early modern period (IMAREAL) in Krems in 2012 and the “Middle High German Conceptual Database” (MHDBDB), which has been supervised by the University of Salzburg since 2004 and adopted in 2016, on two research institutions experienced with digital applications. In addition, new initiatives, events and expanded teaching facilities are constantly being launched with the aim of promoting digital humanites at all levels.
